After mother turtle lays her eggs, one of her babies gets lost. Soon winter is coming; he decides he must build a home. While he walks on his journey, the little turtle meets many friends like the stork and bear who are busy preparing their homes for winter. Little turtle is glad to help them; but he fails to find the right combination to build his own home. Finally, one day the solution to his problem comes to him.This book is targeted for ages two through eight. The amount of text on each page varies.from two lines to eight. Some of the text may be too involved for younger children to grasp, and the illustrations are a bit small to hold a younger child's interest. For these reasons, I feel the book and its lesson is more appropriate for children in the five to seven year range.

This is a cute little story. My two year old grandson loves it.
My son enjoys these stories when traveling.
Writing to small as well as pictures. Not very satisfied with this book, as it was for my 2 yr od granddaughter to look at ad for me to read to her. She loves turtles, but was not very impressed with ths book.
A nice children's story that I have just finished reading to my almost nine month old. Take it as a compliment to the author that she is now sound asleep )
This is a cute and sweet little story. The artwork is also very nicely done. It's a good read for kids to learn about turtles and their shells.
This is a well written story with beautiful illustrations about a little turtle who helps others while looking for a home of his own. I empathized with the little turtle as he worried about where he would stay. The illustrations tie it all together. A winner for sure!
This is a delightful book for children and tells a great story with a special meaning. Home is where you find it, sometimes the place you forget to look is where you already are. I loved this story and the illustrations are beautiful. A must have for children and great tale to read aloud. Great job and highly recommended.
